Product Description

EFFIN-A Compensator

The EFFIN-A Compensator was designed to provide the end user with the ability to adjust the manner in which the gas exits from the weapon. The EFFIN-A features 7 columns and 4 rows of exit ports that can be either opened or closed through easy to use set screws. The exit ports are not threaded completely through to eliminate the possibility of the screw being over turned into the chamber. This feature also allows the screw to "bottom out" increasing tightness and ensuring that it will not work itself out under the pressure of the gasses being released by the weapon. This Compensator also features the ability to "Stack" multiple comps end to end giving further options to the end user.

Objects at rest tend to stay at rest and objects in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Muzzle flip is caused by the pressure that is released down the center of the bore in relation to the contact points of the weapon and the shooter. Muzzle climb is solved by this device in two ways; The EFFIN-A Compensator's timed and tunable exit ports act as an outside force that returns the weapon to a "position of rest" after the round has been fired (the round acts as the initial force causing the unwanted motion) by directly countering the force in relation to the standard shooter contact points on the weapon. This Compensator is also designed to directly increase the weapons moment of inertia by accurately counter balancing the mass of the front of the weapon in relation to the force of motion created by the original force. The balance concept is similar to ancient weight ratio techniques used in spears to allow steady aim and flight.

Due to the amount of time and money we spent on researching the amount of pressure released during the act of firing a round and adjusting the Compensator's balance to correspond to it we will not be releasing the exact weight until after the pre-order is finished and products have already shipped. Note: testing was conducting with two types of ammunition, Matchgrade and GreenTips. The general weight is between 4 and 5 ounces.

The EFFIN A Compensator is now available for multiple rifle platforms including the AR15 (5.56/.223), AR10 (.308, .300, 7.62X54, 6.8. 6.5), and AK47 (7.62X39) The EFFIN-A Compensator comes in Matte Black or Stainless Steel for all models.

WARNING If you attempt to modify or use these devices in any way attempting to create baffles for a suppressor, it will instantly void our warranty and possibly land you in jail. PLEASE OBEY THE LAW!

We do not recommend stacking more than two of these on top of each other. If you do so, you do it at your own risk and it will also void the warranty.

Available for the following:

AR15 (5.56/.223) Thread: 1-2X28
AR10 (.308) Thread: 5-8X24
AK47 (7.62x39) Thread: 14X1LH

  1. Effin A all the way

Posted by Phillip D on 17th Dec 2012

Received my effin a compensator in a timely manner. First thing that catches your eye is the packaging especially the labels on the pill bottle that the compensator is packaged in.

Upon opening the bottle the compensator itself is crafted out of a very solid feeling piece of metal. The black coating is well done and feels super strong.

Compensator attached to the end of my AR-15s with no problems, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but the weekend will be here soon and I can't wait to try it out! Overall I'm totally impressed with the Effin A compensator at this moment.

  2. Awesome

Posted by Lee on 17th Nov 2012

Everything that it was proported to be at a reasonable price point. I saw it first in Recoil magazine but just the specifications were listed. After watching the three videos, I was impressed. The three shooters were spot on with their assessment; except I thought they said it was "ugly" - I'd say impressive. Jesse was very helpful, especially as I was somewhat impatient with it being on back order. Directions were written well and easily followed for tuning. Thank you.

  3. Effin-A Lives Up To It's Name

Posted by WaliBaba on 11th Sep 2012

The rifle I attached the Ares Armor Effin-A Compensator to is my Rock River Arms Piston Driven System 5.56(RRA PDS). This is an amazing rifle made all the better now that the minimal recoil is more of a "push" than a "jolt". I researched magazine articles, videos, blogs, gunsmiths, etc. to determing the most effective muzzle brake available. I was leaning towards the Spikes Tactical Dynacomp but the stats were strongly in favor of the Effin-A. The profile of the EA as attached to the barrel is reminiscent of the comp on the Thompson Sub 45 profile. I like the look. Aside from all that the EA performs exellently and I couldn't be more pleased. One last thing...Predator Armament got my order to me withing three days with normal ground shipping only. Kudos.

  4. Simply Amazing

I have used multiple compensators for the AR-15 and the Effin A is hands down the best! The tunability allows the end user not only to tune for a particular rifle but even a particular load. The Effin A truly makes a HUGE difference.

Don't believe it? The video doesn't lie.

The effin-a rocks!!! If you have the money look no further. First comp I have ever seen that you can tune to your liking. Reloaders like myself will love this product. Tune it like you tune your ammo! I will be posting a detailed review of this product. My channel is jonthelefty on YouTube. Thanks to Ares for stepping up and making a great addition to my AR-15.
